Broken Road Forge is a specialized metalworking business that focuses on creating custom metal solutions and artisan pieces through blacksmithing with a unique approach of repurposing materials and solving practical problems through metalcraft.

Welcome to Broken Road Forge where passion meets craftsmanship in the heart of the Minnesota Northwoods!

Founded by Steve Hanna, an Army Veteran and a retired police officer from New York, his forge is dedicated to creating unique, handcrafted metal work that combines functionality with artistic beauty.  After years of service to his country and community, life's winding paths led Steve to the woods in northern Minnesota where he was able to reignite his passion for metalsmithing.  Today, Broken Road Forge stands as a testament to the journey of turning life's challenges into creating opportunities.

Each hand forged item is meticulously crafted using time honored techniques and passion for the old ways of building.  Steve appreciates taking a piece of metal that most people would consider junk and turns it into pieces that are functional and beautiful.  This process of metalsmithing hand forged metal goods is steeped in tradition and history and make great gifts and wonderful additions to your home.
